Optimism

An optimist is someone who tells you to cheer up when things are going his way.

The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser–in case you thought that optimism is dead.

The optimist is the fellow who takes the cold-water thrown on his propostion, heats it with enthusiasm, makes steam and pushes ahead.

As you ramble on through life, brother

Whatever be your goal

Keep your eye upon the donut

And not upon the hole.

Opportunity is in the eye (mind) of the beholder. A particular situation viewed by one person is an obstacle; to another an opportunity.

 

A pessimist is one who feels bad when he feels good for fear he will feel worse when he feels better.

Your cannot weather a storm by storming at the weather.

The pessimist listens to the patter of little defeats.

The optimist invents the airplane; the pessimist invents the parachute.

Pessimism has no future.
