There is no sympathy so deep and strong as that which springs out of common suffering.

You may forget with whom you laughed, but you will never forget with whom you wept.  —  Arab Proverb

Sympathy is two hearts tugging at one load.

Can I see another’s woe,
And not be in sorrow too?
Can I see another’s grief,
And not seek for kind relief?
— William Blake (1757-1827)

It hurts very deeply when we lose someone we love
But in the midst of the heart
ache and confusion,
it is comforting to know we can find
peace in the presence of Jesus.
He understands our hurt and desires to heal the pain
which has touched us so deeply.
